OJ Simpson granted parole after 9 years in prison

Former NFL star, OJ Simpson, has been granted parole by a Nevada parole board on Thursday.

Simpson apologized and said he was a model prisoner, promising that he would not have any conflicts if released.

“I’ve done my time,” he said.

“I’ve done it as well and as respectfully as I think anyone can.”

Simpson who is now 70, has served nine years of a nine-to-33-year sentence for an armed robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas in 2007.

He is expected to be released as early as October.
